Terms and Conditions

Here is everything you need to know about booking in with me including details on enquiries, timelines, booking fees and more. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out through our email - chapter16collective@gmail.com
Bookings & Waiting List
I work on an appointment only basis and I am currently accepting new clients for small and large scale pieces. I like to book 2 to 3 months in advance to help manage my bookings in a way that prevents my calendar from filling up too many months in advance and allows for better scheduling flexibility. I reopen my calendar every 2 to 3 months prioritising clients with ongoing projects and those on the waiting list. If you would like to join the waiting list for a particular month, please let me know and you will be contacted as soon as those dates are available. There is a newsletter that will announce when the diary is open and will provide other useful information and updates. This does not apply to large scale work which you are able to book ahead without joining the waiting list.
Deposit For Booking
To secure your appointment I require a non-refundable deposit between £80 and £120 depending on the length of your appointment. This goes towards the final price of your tattoo only and is mandatory to confirm your appointment in the calendar. If you are booking online the deposit needs to be paid to complete your booking, or, within 72 hours (3 days) of scheduling your appointment at the studio. If it is not paid by then your spot might be given to somebody else. Payment can be made bybank transfer, the booking app on my website or paid in cash at the studio.
Total Costs & Payments
The total price of your tattoo depends on different factors such as the type of design, detail, size and the placement of the tattoo. Our consultation form will help prompt you in the information I will need to give you an estimated quote before your appointment is booked. If further information is required, I will contact you.
As I charge per hour/per day, there will be some pieces that are difficult to provide a precise price as it will depend on the amount of time spent working on your tattoo. I will always provide the maximum price to expect to make sure it covers all factors and I will not increase it if it takes me longer than expected to finish. You will pay the remainder of the cost on the day of your appointment after the deposit has been deducted. You can pay in cash, via bank transfer, or the shop has a card machine for cards and phone payments.
As a guide, my rates are as follows:
£100 - per hour
£250 - 300 - Half Day
£500 - Full Day
Minimum Charge for Small Pieces - £60 - £100
(small pieces like a name or symbol vary on the design, size and placement)
For a full arm sleeve, on average, I would need between 5 to 8 full day sessions to get the design finalised.
Design & Consultation
I offer free consultations, especially if it is a difficult piece, a cover-up or your first tattoo. If you need advice or guidance for a project, then please book in a consultation with me. If it is to cover scars, which I’m happy to do, I would like to do a consultation in person.
These can be done in person or they can be done via FaceTime. Consultations can be really helpful to discuss your ideas, the placement of the tattoo and give you a chance to ask me any questions you may have. They also provide the perfect opportunity to meet me beforehand and see the studio.
Once the consultation is done and we are both happy I will be able to provide details on how you can book your appointment and leave a deposit. If you require any major changes to the design that we have discussed, a new consultation or inquiry form will be required to start the process again. You will see your tattoo design on the day of your appointment or evening before if requested. I will always make time on the day to make small changes if needed. I find it is better for both parties if we communicate these in person so we have a full understanding and consent of any changes. Sometimes I will modify the design to fit you individually and also freehand parts to adorn your body. My work is very organic and I like to use 50% to 80% stencil and the rest to be freehand.
Deposit Policy
The deposit is non-refundable for any reason, there are no exceptions. If I myself need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will either transfer your deposit to a new appointment or refund it depending on your choosing.
Cancellations & rescheduling
If you need to cancel your appointment, please give me at least 7 days notice. If you cancel after that your deposit will be forfeited. You may reschedule your appointment once with 7 days notice otherwise the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required. If you do not show up and have not let me know beforehand, your deposit will be lost and I will not be booking you in again. Be sure to arrive on time, if you are more than 30 minutes late without notice this will result in losing your deposit. If you are running late, please email me straight away or send a text on Instagram as soon as possible. We do not have a shop phone so please make sure that you have us on your social medias - Instagram, Facebook, Email.
Health & Safety
Please make sure that you tell me about any medical conditions, allergies or skin sensitivities before your appointment. There are lots of things that I will be able to modify to make it according to you and there are some medical conditions that I would need a doctor’s note.
If you have not informed me and something comes up I may need to cancel the appointment and your deposit will be forfeited.
Do not apply numbing cream before your appointment as I will not be able to tattoo you and will result in you being sent away and your deposit forfeited. Numbing creams are dangerous to your body's health and the tattoo for many reasons. There are many ways to look after yourself and manage your pain tolerance which can be discussed during your consultation if this is on your mind.
On the day of your tattoo, come to your appointment feeling well. Please make sure that you have eaten beforehand. If you are on a day session, make sure that you have brought adequate food and drink for the duration. You are welcome to bring a blanket and pillow and wear something comfortable. If you are sick or show up under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the appointment will be cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited.
I follow strict hygiene protocols that I take very seriously. Please read through the after-care sheet that can be
given to you in paper form or via email. It can also be sent to you via email in open dyslexia font.
If you notice any issues with your tattoo afterwards please reach out for advice. While I am not a doctor I can offer helpful guidance. Please let me know if you have any accessibility questions, I’m neurodivergent and will try my best to accommodate you, so please ask.
My tattoo area is on a raised floor with 4 steps to go up. Please let me know if mobility is a factor as there are some options that may be viable such as moving my work station down stairs which would need some planning.
Age Requirements & Guests
You must be 18 in order to get tattooed and you will need to provide ID at your appointment and on your consent form. Please do not bring your children or anyone under the age of 18 to your appointment. You are welcome to bring one friend for support, but please let me know ahead of time. Sometimes if the studio is very busy and with other artists working it is not always possible to accommodate a guest. There is limited space in the studio and also I like to keep focused with a calm environment to work in.
Design Changes & Artistic Integrity
I reserve the right to adjust or turned down any design if it is not feasible, offensive or technically impractical. If this happens, I will explain to you why and suggest an alternative approach. If the design is too small for longevity, I’ll suggest resizing or tweaking it. If we cannot agree on the adjustments I may decline to do the piece as I want your tattoo to look great in the long-term. All designs are my intellectual property and cannot be copied or used without my permission
Touch Ups
Minor touch ups are free within the first year of your original tattoo appointment if you have followed the aftercare instructions. Touch ups requested after that period or due to neglect will be charged.
Responsibility
I am not liable for any reactions, infections or other issues that arise. Please follow the aftercare advice given to you. If something does not seem right, please get in touch where I can give you advice and guidance.
Privacy
Your personal information is kept private and only used for scheduling appointments and communication about your tattoo. Please check my privacy policy which you can find on this website.
Changes to Ts & Cs
I may update or change these terms at any time. Please make sure that you read the terms and conditions before booking your appointment. If there are any major changes that affect your appointment I will let you know in advance.
